Little Red Vintage Car | Painting Watercolor Greeting Card

Hello my Dearest Artists,

Today, I will show you how to create a DIY Greeting Card for Christmas. I'm painting a little red vintage car on a blank pre-made card. These cards are 3-1/2" by 4-7/8" watercolor stock, and they come with white envelopes.

Strathmore Watercolor Cards (140 lb. cold press 3-1/2" by 4-7/8")
Watercolors (St Petersburg Professional) and brushes
Drawing Pencils
White Water-based Sharpie

Process Recipe:
1. Sketch the car on plain paper.
2. Shade the back of the paper with a pencil.
3. Transfer the drawing to the watercolor card.
4. Paint the car red while avoiding the non-red areas: windows, chrome, and tires.
5. Paint the tree with green: add variation to the tree with different shades of green and brown.
6. Paint the tires with grey color (mix blue with brown).
7. Add any other details and outline the red part of the car with a darker red/brown.
8. Wait until the car is dry and use a white sharpie to add any lost reflections on the car.
9. Sign your name. Write a funny greeting, put it into the envelope and send it to your friend. Oh, don't forget to seal the envelope :)

Thank you for LIKING and SUBSCRIBING! Stay tuned for more holiday-themed videos.

XOXO Dasha
